PROJECT OVERVIEW

A Django-based university project for growers to record farm information and observe pest or disease activity. The repository provides the application models, forms, class-based views and HTML templates.

01 / THE CHALLENGE

Understand the problem.

Plant-health observations become harder to follow when records are unstructured. The project models relationships between farms, individual trees, surveillance reports and different pests or diseases.

02 / THE APPROACH

Design the approach.

Django models represent growers, farms, trees, pests, affected plant parts and surveillance records. The views implement registration, farm profile editing and dashboards, including farm-specific record queries and authentication checks.

03 / HOW IT WORKS

Behind the build.

01

Model the data

Relate surveillance reports to farms, trees and pest information.

02

Control access

Use Django authentication and farm context in application views.

03

Make records usable

Provide management pages, forms, lists and dashboard queries.

04 / MY ROLE

My contribution.

Developed as a university group project. The public code confirms the data model, registration flow, authentication checks and surveillance management. I have not attributed any individual module solely to myself without an authorship record.
